اَلْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

اَلْـحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Transliteration

Alhamdu lillāhil-ladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā wa-ilayhin-nushūr.

Hindi Translation

“सारी तारीफ़ें अल्लाह के लिए हैं जिसने हमें (सोने के बाद) ज़िन्दा किया और उसी की ओर हमारी वापसी है।”

English Translation

“All praise is due to Allah who gave us life after He caused us to die (sleep), and to Him is the resurrection.”

About This Dua

This dua is from authentic Hadith collections (Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim). It reminds us of Allah’s mercy by granting life after sleep (a minor death), and it points to the resurrection on the Day of Judgment.
